Deliverable D.6.4
Digital Ecosystem Setup
abstract
This report provides a comprehensive overview of the digital ecosystem created by the SEEDplus project, designed to foster entrepreneurial activities and bridge gaps in innovation ecosystems across Europe. SEEDplus addresses critical challenges such as limited entrepreneurial skills, lack of access to support structures, and weak university-industry connections, particularly in regions with emerging innovation ecosystems. By establishing a Venture Creation Course (VCC) and a suite of support programs including mentorship, startup competitions, and business acceleration, SEEDplus empowers students and university staff to drive entrepreneurial ventures forward.
The heart of the SEEDplus dissemination and exploitation strategy lies in its robust digital ecosystem. This report details the structure and functionality of this system, anchored by the Digital Innovation Hub NOSC-UA DIH at Kyiv Academic University (KAU). The ecosystem includes several key digital tools such as the NOSC-UA DIH webpage, the Academ.City webpage, and KAU’s MOOC platform. These tools enable seamless communication, sharing of project results, and collaboration among a wide range of stakeholders, from students and entrepreneurs to policymakers and investors. Importantly, this digital infrastructure not only supports the internal operations of SEEDplus but also serves as a model for other higher education institutions (HEIs) to replicate.
