Venture Creation course Delivery Report

ABSTRACT

The “Venture Creation Course” is an educational initiative designed to equip students with the skills and entrepreneurial mindset needed to drive innovation and foster sustainable business creation. In a rapidly changing global landscape, the course addresses Europe’s strategic priorities, such as the New European Innovation Agenda, the Green Deal, and the transition to a net-zero economy. By integrating practical learning with real-world applications, the course empowers students to create ventures that align with these objectives, contributing to the broader goals of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

This report presents the tangible results of the course, focusing on student enrollment, success rates, and gender representation across Modules 1 and 2. The course achieved significant participation with 236 students enrolled across the first two modules, achieving a combined pass rate of 74.57%. Module 1 trained 121 students with a pass rate of 70.76%, while Module 2 trained 55 students with a pass rate of 84.61%. Gender representation highlighted the ongoing need for targeted measures, with 38% female participation in Module 1 and 29.09% in Module 2. This underlines the importance of efforts to promote gender inclusivity in entrepreneurial education, aligning with European Union commitments to diversity and equal opportunity.

To maximize impact, the course’s communication strategy was designed not only to attract participants but to position the program as a catalyst for change. Through pre-module outreach and ongoing updates shared across various platforms—including the project website and social media—the course maintained high visibility and engagement. Additionally, the commitment to inclusivity was reflected in making all sessions open-access, recording them on YouTube, and offering support in multiple languages to accommodate students from diverse backgrounds.

Overall, this report highlights the successful delivery of the “Venture Creation Course,” showcasing its impact on nurturing entrepreneurial talent aligned with Europe’s strategic goals. It serves as both a record of achievements and a strategic guide for replicating and sustaining the course across other Higher Education Institutions, reinforcing the role of education in driving innovation, inclusivity, and sustainability within Europe.
